My PhD project was about developing a better understanding of the effects of the diabetes drug, Metformin on inflammation and its relation to cardiovascular diseases, particularly human macrophages, an important immune cell type. During my PhD I have trained undergraduate and junior PhD students in the lab and contributed to different projects
